About the owner
Stefanie Francavilla is a Red Seal Pastry Chef with upwards of 10 years of experience, starting in 2012, working at a local cupcake shop, and competing in highschool baking competitions.
She graduated from Humber College's Baking and Pastry Arts Management Diploma Program with top grades. While in post secondary, Stefanie worked her first fine dining restaurant job at Canoe Restaurant. In her second year of pastry school Stefanie won gold at both Skills Ontario and Skills Canada Competitions.
Stefanie spent a year training as a prospect for World Skills Team Canada while working at Toronto mainstay Old Mill Hotel. In 2019, Stefanie moved to Prince Edward Island to train as part of Culinary Youth Team Canada. The Team competed at the IKA Culinary Olympics in Stuttgart Germany in February 2020 and received gold medals for both disciplines they competed in and placed fourth overall.
In July 2020 Stefanie started working at Langdon Hall and spent three and a half years there, deepening her appreciation for local Ontario produce. In September 2023, Stefanie started teaching part-time at Humber College
Knowing that restaurant lifestyle was not sustainable for her long-term, Stefanie moved to Vancouver in January 2024 and spent just shy of two years working at the acclaimed Thomas Haas Patisserie.
